The E100 electric scooter is by far the most popular electric scooter on the market today. Produced by Razor, the e100 scooter is lightweight, durable, easy to store and most important FUN to ride. I have watched my kids and other kids in the neighborhood ride, race, and chase each other up and down the sidewalk until dark and they never seem to get tired of it.
Razor e100 scooters come in three colors: red, pink, and blue. My oldest daughter wanted the red Razor E100 and my youngest wanted the pink. They absolutely love their scooters. I love them too; because my girls stay busy outside rather than sitting for hours in front of the TV.
Another thing I love about these scooters, and I think it’s a major plus, is that the E100 electric scooter is reasonably quite. There are one or two kids around the block with gas-powered scooters and it seems like you can hear them a mile away. Not so with the Razor E100 electric scooter, so, I haven’t gotten any complaints from my neighbors – so far.
I was a little concerned at first about safety, but that issue disappeared within the first half-hour of them starting to ride for the first time. They pretty much already had the skills necessary to ride because they’ve had regular kick scooters for sometime – Barbie scooters from a few Christmas’s ago.
My main concern at first was the speed at which the Razor e100 traveled; it turns out that it only does a top speed of about eight to ten miles per hour. My girls can handle that easily and I think they wish their electric scooters could go faster. In the beginning I made them wear their helmets, elbow guards, and knee guards, now they get by with only a helmet. I have yet to see one go down.
The Razor E100 Electric Scooter seems to be well made and sturdy; I’m sure at some point down the line we will have to replace the batteries in them. So far the scooters have been pretty maintenance free and have a few scuffs here and there from use. I consider the scooters to be one of the best purchases I’ve made for my daughters in a while. The novelty of most things I buy them wears off fairly quickly; I’m sure most parents can relate to that.
If your looking to buy an electric scooter online, I have found that Amazon is the best way to go – price wise, availability, shipping you name it. The E100 electric scooter is only one of the Razor brand models they carry; there are several others you may want to consider. Also, as a side note, if you’re in the market for a used scooter, Craigslist is a good place to look for one.
I still remember the day we received our order and the look on my two daughters faces when we opened the boxes – priceless, absolutely priceless. I’m sure that years from now they will talk fondly about the times they rode their scooters up and down the neighborhood sidewalk and the park – great memories indeed.
